Glazing

Product Features

Combines higher daylight transmittance, lower visible reflectance, and solar control properties in a single pyrolytic surface

Design flexibility. Achieve a crisp, natural colour with subtle reflectivity, high visible light transmittance and interior glare control when Pilkington Eclipse Advantage™ Glass is glazed with a pyrolytic #2 surface.

  • Durable pyrolytic surface. All Pilkington Eclipse Advantage™ Glass products can be laminated, heat-strengthened, or toughened and combined into Insulating Glass Units.
  • Energy Efficient. Combining low-emissivity with solar control for considerable energy cost reductions compared to ordinary glass.
  • Reduced UV transmittance – limits colour fading and breakdown of plastic materials, and furnishings.
  • Sealant compatible with I.G. sealing compounds and structural silicone sealants most commonly used, with no edge deletion required. Specific compatibility questions should be directed to the sealant manufacturer.
  • Excellent availability for significantly reduced lead times and better control of project costs.

Pilkington Eclipse Advantage™ - Reflective Low-E Glass

Pilkington Eclipse Advantage™ is the next generation of coated energy management glass and is the world's first pyrolytic reflective Low-E glass, for buildings that require medium performance solar control and the insulation benefits of a LowE coating.

Pilkington Eclipse Advantage™ is a low coat option for projects that require glazing alternatives better than standard glass and that up to now has only been satisfied by very high performance Insulating Glass Units and solar control laminates. Pilkington Eclipse Advantage™ is manufactured by the patented Pilkington pryolitic process. In this on line coating process a gas reacts with the semi molten surface of the float glass to form a reflective coating on Clear, and tinted substrates. The result is a product that combines solar and thermal performance , subtle reflectivity and glare control.

The base colour of the glass , whether clear , grey, bronze , Pilkington Evergreen™ or Pilkington Arctic Blue™ is maintained with a significant boost to solar and thermal characteristics through the proprietary low E coating.
