Endibrook have created a 'Fact Sheet' on the features included in this project. If you would like to view this pdf please click here.
This spectacular and very rare energy efficient beachfront home has been designed to take in the stunning views of the ocean and the valuable natural habitat of Blacks Beach Esplanade, a breeding area for Marine Turtles, from almost every room in the house.
From the moment you step through the front door, it becomes evident that a lot of thought has been put into the design of this magnificent home, with no regard to expense.
The first floor of the home features two double bedrooms, one of which opens out onto the huge lower timber decks, bathroom and rumpus with its very own kitchenette that make an easy living environment for family and friends.
The top floor of the homes open plan design provides spacious living areas with a stunning cathedral ceiling and large glass sliding doors with direct access to the covered alfresco entertaining area. The kitchen has been fitted out with quality fixtures and fittings including granite stone benchtops and stainless steel appliances, including a 90cm freestanding oven and walk in pantry.
The master features an impressive ensuite with a spa opening up onto a private balcony, double basins, frameless double shower, floor to ceiling vitrified tiles, large walk in robe and air-conditioning.
Other added features include ducted reverse cycle air-conditioning, C-Bus - digitally controlled mood sensitive lighting, imported vitrified tiles, solar powered hot water, energy efficient glass and a total of 131sqm of wide breezy timber decking.
Built for our lifestyle and climate. Come feel the cool difference of this energy efficient home.
More information....
This house takes full advantage of its unique location with its connection to the natural environment, extending beyond the site boundaries and harnessing views of the Pacific Ocean, and natural vegetation.
Generous glazing towards the East and North creates a feeling of space and connectivity to external living areas, thereby dramatically increasing the total living area of the house.
Sea breezes are managed with screening devices ranging from large sliding doors to cater for good and inclement weather, to adjustable hinged louvres, providing protection to outdoor areas between these two climatic extremes. Portions of decks are located on the Northern side of the house, offering protected external zones without compromising the splendid natural views.
The Ground Floor echoing the layout of the First Floor, offers flexible accommodation for a variety of family compositions, without imposing on each other's privacy. Diversity and flexibility is further enhanced with an additional kitchenette incorporated into the Rumpus Room.
Privacy to the street is achieved by minimizing windows to the west. An additional advantage achieved by this is that the undesirable western sun is eliminated. The only exception is the entrance, located at the link between the Northern and Southern blocks, which is celebrated as a glass curtain wall to articulate the two main elements of the building. This strong contrast creates a dramatic statement and entices by passers with only a peak into the spatial interaction that unfolds once inside the building and beyond.
Bedroom and ensuite views replicates the concept of rest of the house. The bath with bi folding window opening out onto the main bedroom deck, provides an outdoor experience, yet private from neighbours.
This house responds to the quest for a harmonious environment, suited for a wide range of family structures, offering opportunities for flexibility, social interaction and privacy. It also responds well to the environment, providing natural ventilation, Northern orientation and beautiful views.
